In Fujimino City, housing complexes were built one after another in 1959 and 1960, accelerating urbanization. It then became a bedroom community for Tokyo, and its population grew rapidly. Even in a society with a declining birthrate, the city's growth momentum continues, with some schools increasing the number of classes. Fujimino City is home to many factories and shopping facilities, both of which generate a large number of jobs. The neighboring municipalities are Kawagoe City, Fujimi City, and Miyoshi Town in Iruma County. The city is home to many famous cherry blossom viewing spots, including Fukuoka Central Park, Jizoin Temple, and Oi Benten Forest.
