In Fujimino City, housing complexes were built one after another in 1959 and 1960, accelerating urbanization. It then became a bedroom community for Tokyo, and its population grew rapidly. Even in a society with a declining birthrate, the city's growth momentum continues, with some schools increasing the number of classes. Fujimino City is home to many factories and shopping facilities, both of which generate a large number of jobs. The neighboring municipalities are Kawagoe City, Fujimi City, and Miyoshi Town in Iruma County.
