Sagamihara City's Midori Ward accounts for approximately 77% of the city's land area. Neighboring administrative districts include Uehara City in Yamanashi Prefecture, and Machida and Hachioji Cities in Tokyo. The area is rich in nature, including Lake Shiroyama, Lake Tsukui, and the Doshi River. The Lake Tsukui Shiroyama illuminations are lit from late November to late December. Ebirazawa Falls, selected as one of the 36 best landscapes with 5 lakes in the Yamanami region, is also located here. Tourist attractions include the Komatsu Cosmos Garden and the Motozawa Plum Garden. Seasonal flowers can be seen here. A scarecrow exhibition is also held here, including the Wakaayu Scarecrow Festival, which runs from mid-September to mid-October. There are many famous parks, including Matsunouchi Park, Kyonohara Hydrangea Park, and Higashi-Hashimoto Pocket Park.
