Fujikawaguchiko Town in Minamitsuru District is located at a high elevation throughout the town. Its central station is located at an altitude of 857 meters, making it a well-known mountainous region. It has many neighboring municipalities, nine in total, including Fujinomiya City in Shizuoka Prefecture. It is also a sister city of Fuefuki City, another neighboring municipality. Fujikawaguchiko Town in Minamitsuru District is also home to many lakes, with four of the Fuji Five Lakes belonging to the town. The Fuji Five Lakes are popular tourist spots in the town, and the Kawaguchiko Music Box Forest Museum and Kawaguchiko Stellar Theater are located around Lake Kawaguchi. Part of Fuji-Q Highland is also located within the town.
