Fujikawa Town in Minamikoma District borders four cities and towns in Yamanashi Prefecture. The town is blessed with nature, with the Fuji River flowing through it and Mount Kushigata towering above. Mount Kushigata, 2,052 meters above sea level, has several well-maintained hiking trails, offering views of Mount Fuji, making it a popular destination for hikers. The Takage district is also known as the "village of the rising sun," a spectacular spot for viewing the "Diamond Fuji." Ten suspension bridges span the Oyanagawa Valley, with eight waterfalls, allowing visitors to appreciate the changing seasons. Agriculture is thriving, with yuzu, pears, shiso, shiitake mushrooms, and maitake mushrooms cultivated. Local specialties include "Mimi cuisine," a dish made with plenty of locally grown vegetables stewed in miso, as well as yuzu wine and Masuho wine.
