Fuefuki City, which was reborn in 2004 after merging six municipalities, has been reborn together with Ashigawa Village. The Fuefuki River is its source and the entire region is flat, but with mountainous terrain behind it, it is a region with a diverse natural environment. The plains are home to many residential areas and orchards, creating a tranquil rural landscape. The main industries are peach and grape cultivation. Miharashien Garden is a scenic spot in the region where you can get up close and personal with the changing seasonal fruits and flowers, making it a popular spot for families. It is also home to the headquarters and factory of Kikyoya, the manufacturer of Shingen Mochi, a Yamanashi specialty confectionery.
