Sanyo Onoda City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, is located in the southwestern part of the prefecture, bordering Ube City and Shimonoseki City. After numerous mergers, the city was established in 2005. The name combines the names of the cities and towns that existed before the merger. The area is rich in nature, boasting mountains, rivers, and lakes.
