Mihama Town, Hidaka District, Wakayama Prefecture, is located almost in the center of the prefecture and is the second smallest town in the prefecture. The eastern part of the town is the downtown area as part of the Hidaka Plain, while the western part is designated as the Enju Coast Prefectural Natural Park. The town's main industries are agriculture, fishing, and commerce, with fishing in particular having been active since ancient times, as the area is blessed with excellent fishing grounds.
