Aridagawa Town, Arida District, Wakayama Prefecture, is located in the northwestern part of the Kii Peninsula, almost in the center of the prefecture. Its main industries are agriculture and forestry, and it is nationally renowned for producing high-quality mandarin oranges. The town is dotted with many famous flower spots, such as Mount Atago and Washigamine Cosmos Park, allowing visitors to enjoy seasonal flowers throughout the year. Aridagawa Town's specialty products include the nationally renowned Arita mandarin oranges and Kanaya Town tomatoes, carefully grown in the lush natural environment of the Iwaishi Plateau. Other traditional crafts include Kishu handmade washi paper and Yasuda paper, both of which have a history of approximately 360 years. From March to December, visitors can experience papermaking and fan-making using Yasuda paper.
