Nanbu Town, Saihaku District, located in the western part of Tottori Prefecture, was created through a merger in 2004 and is an area with a high concentration of ancient tombs, even within Tottori Prefecture. The town as a whole is blessed with a natural environment, with landscapes of mountains, rice paddies, and hills. Specialties include pears and figs, and there are many orchards scattered throughout the area. The town is working together to revitalize the region, based on the concept of preserving nature while preserving the current environment. Cherry blossoms and rollers are symbols of the region, and rollers are one of the rare species in Japan that can only grow in clean environments. Five years after the town was founded, it continues to preserve traditions, focusing on locally produced produce.
