Hoki Town in Saihaku District, established in 2005 through the merger of surrounding municipalities, is one of the many municipalities in Tottori Prefecture. Located in a naturally rich environment with clean air and a water source against the backdrop of Mt. Daisen, the area's specialty products are primarily agricultural produce. It also produces Yago rice, shiitake mushrooms, persimmons, and wasabi, which can only grow in clean water. These specialty products are also processed into foods, contributing to economic development in various ways. The town also produces some unusual crafts. At Kaeru Kobo, they make amphibian and reptile versions of frog figurines and other items. In this way, they continue to utilize locally sourced products while cherishing the natural environment.
