Shinjuku Ward has the highest number of registered foreigners in Tokyo. Located on the Koshu Kaido road, the area has long been a busy place, and a downtown area has been established since ancient times. Today, Kabukicho is a bustling entertainment district famous not only in Japan but around the world, bustling with restaurants and bars. Surrounding it is Koreatown, where Koreans, Chinese, and various other foreigners coexist. Another popular tourist spot is the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. Located not far from the entertainment district, it is surrounded by skyscrapers and an office district stretching out as far as the eye can see. As a result, a large number of trains pass through the area. Shinjuku Station, in particular, holds a Guinness World Record for having the highest passenger occupancy rate in the world.
