About Inagi City
Inagi City's population has been increasing since the 1970s due to the construction of Tama New Town and development along the Odakyu Tama Line. While the area is now mostly residential, many agricultural fields and forests remain. Inagi City's specialty products are pears and grapes. These sweet, juicy pears and grapes are famous nationwide and are popular as gifts. Major tourist attractions include the suburban amusement park Yomiuri Land, the Yomiuri Giants' practice field, and Benten Cave, one of the New Tokyo 100 Views. There are also many famous temples, including Myokakuji Temple and Myokenji Temple. The city's most famous festival is the Inagi Citizens' Festival, held in late October.
