About Edogawa Ward

Edogawa Ward in Tokyo is an area with solid child-rearing policies. Subsidies are available to reduce the burden on parents when children are enrolled in private kindergartens. Most of the area is reclaimed land from Tokyo Bay, and it still borders the bay. A recommended tourist spot in Edogawa is Kasai Rinkai Park. Within its vast grounds, you'll find the Kasai Rinkai Aquarium, where you can enjoy bird watching and tuna migrations. This park is exceptionally large for a natural park, and is a source of pride for the world. Furthermore, Edogawa is the birthplace of komatsuna, a specialty of Edogawa Ward. The name dates back to the Edo period, when Tokugawa Yoshimune named it after a nameless grass that tasted delicious.
