Kamiyama Town, Myosa District, Tokushima Prefecture, borders Tokushima City and Ishii Town and is located almost in the center of the prefecture. It is a place rich in nature, with mountains and rivers. Fruits are cultivated here, and the town is the top producer of sudachi (Japanese citrus fruit) in Japan. Tourist attractions include the Il Rosa Forest in Tokushima Prefectural Kamiyama Forest Park, which features athletic facilities and an observation deck; a roadside station built using local building materials; and the hot spring village of Kamiyama. Local events include the Kamiyama Onsen Festival, held in spring and featuring a variety of delicious foods; the Okubo Ginkgo Festival, where various events are held under a large ginkgo tree over 500 years old; and the Onigoro no Akari (Lights of the Night) sculpture, where a mystical world is created by the light of numerous candles across a vast farmland.
