About Higashi Miyoshi Town
Higashi Miyoshi Town, Miyoshi District, Tokushima Prefecture, is located in the northwestern part of the prefecture, bordering Miyoshi City, Tsurugi Town, Mima District, and Kagawa Prefecture. It's blessed with abundant nature, including mountains, rivers, and waterfalls. The town was formed through a merger in 2006. Tourist attractions in the area include Hashikura Prefectural Natural Park, home to Minoda no Fuchi, a designated prefectural natural monument; Buburu Park Mikamo, built using rivers and coastal areas and divided into various experience zones; and the Asan Circuit, officially recognized by Shikoku. Other attractions include the Tanden Kofun Tumulus and Chozenji Temple. The Kamo Great Camphor Tree is also famous, designated a national natural monument. Higashi Miyoshi Town's designated tree is the camphor tree, and its designated flower is the salvia.
