About Kamikatsu Town
Kamikatsu Town in Katsuura District is located upstream of the Katsuura River and borders towns and villages in Tokushima Prefecture. The town is surrounded by mountains over 1,000 meters above sea level, such as Mt. Takamaru and Mt. Unso, and is blessed with abundant nature. Agriculture is thriving, with a variety of vegetables grown, including onions, cabbage, pumpkins, eggplants, tomatoes, and leeks. Fruit trees such as strawberries and mandarin oranges are also cultivated. Local specialties include Kamikatsu Bancha tea and yuzu salt. Tonokawauchi Valley is known as a tourist destination for its beautiful autumn foliage. The "Super Forest Road" is the longest forest road in Japan and is a driving course where you can enjoy spectacular views. There are also many other spots where you can enjoy nature, such as Kanjogataki Falls, Hyakken Falls, and Lake Bishu.
