Itano Town, Itano District, is home to temples 3 through 5 of the 88 Shikoku Temple Pilgrimage, making it a popular spot to see pilgrims throughout the town. It borders Naruto City, Kamiita Town, Aizumi Town, and Higashikagawa City in Kagawa Prefecture. The town's tree is the andromeda tree, and its flower is the cherry blossom. Historic sites in the town include the Atagoyama Kofun and the Kurasaya Kawara Sutra Mound. The town also boasts the Okanomiya Great Camphor Tree, a prefectural natural monument. The town also recently opened Asebi Onsen, a hot spring facility that opened in 2002. This hot spring facility is popular with local residents and is quickly becoming an essential part of the town.
