Aizumi Town, Itano County, is located north of the Yoshino River and adjacent to Tokushima City, making it a popular commuter town. It has the highest population in Tokushima Prefecture and is expected to continue to grow in the future. The town is blessed with a rich natural environment, with the old Yoshino River and Shohoji River flowing through it. Awa indigo is cultivated here and is a local specialty. Other local products include indigo-dyed products, carrots, and miso. The ruins of Shozui Castle, where large ruins were excavated, have been developed into a park and are a popular tourist spot. A rose festival is held every year at the rose garden along the Shohoji River, where the many beautiful roses in full bloom attract many tourists.
