Nakagawa Town in Nasu District is bordered on all sides by other areas of Tochigi Prefecture, including Otawara City and Nasukarasuyama City. While there are some temperature differences, the region enjoys a comfortable inland climate year-round. The first snow falls in late December, and preparations for spring begin in early March. The area is also home to the Batou Onsen hot spring resort, known for its beauty-enhancing waters. Various accommodations line the riverside.
