Warabi City in Saitama Prefecture is the region where the Coming-of-Age Ceremony was first held. While it is one of the smallest cities in Japan, it boasts a high population density. Most of the area is residential, and the area around the east exit of Warabi Station is bustling with businessmen and other visitors thanks to its many entertainment facilities. Major local specialties include twin weaves and binoculars. Many annual events are held, including the Summer Park Festival and Iso Festival. Another popular tourist spot in Warabi is the Kawanabe Kyosai Memorial Museum. This museum displays a variety of works by Kawanabe Kyosai, many of which have received high praise from overseas.
