Honjo City, Saitama Prefecture, is a transportation hub connecting the Joshinetsu region with Tokyo. The JR Takasaki Line and Hachiko Line pass through the city, as well as the Joetsu Shinkansen and Kan'etsu Expressway. Honjo City is a key transportation hub. The Wakaizumi Park Cherry Blossom Festival, where visitors can enjoy the magnificent rows of cherry blossom trees in spring, is famous and attracts many visitors. The Kodama Senbonzakura Festival, where cherry trees are planted by volunteers from various organizations, is also a popular cherry blossom viewing spot. The Hydrangea Path, where visitors can enjoy hiking while viewing approximately 6,000 hydrangeas, is also a popular spot. Local specialties include agricultural crops such as leeks and cucumbers. Romanesco, a type of cauliflower, is also cultivated.
