In addition to mountains and rivers, Minano Town in Chichibu District is also home to the Chichibu Basin. Its main industries include precision machinery manufacturing and tourism agriculture. Tourist attractions include Chichibu Highlands Ranch and Minoyama Park. The former hosts the annual Sky Poppy Festival, while the latter is also famous for its flowers. It also boasts Mangan-no-Yu, a highly alkaline hot spring. Events include the Shimodano Lantern Festival and the Ohama Gion Festival. Minano Town in Chichibu District is also known as the birthplace of the Chichibu Ondo dance, and the characters for the song are even used in the town's catchphrase. It borders six other municipalities, including Chichibu City, Nagase Town, Higashichichibu Village, and Honjo City.
