Located in the center of Saga Prefecture, Kohoku Town in Kishima County is known as a transportation hub, with many national highways and railways intersecting. The northern part is a gently sloping mountainous area, while the southern part is mostly flat and farmland. The climate is relatively warm and comfortable. The town is closely connected to history, famous for the camphor tree carved into the Bato Kannon Hall by Gyoki in 736. The Migawari Kannon, located within the grounds of Toshoji Temple, is one of Nishinomiya's three major Kannon statues. Playgrounds are available at Narue Riverside Park and Shiraki Panorama Park, making them popular playgrounds for children and a place of relaxation for local residents. Camping and barbecues are also available. The Shinto Bridge, connecting Kohoku Town and Shiroishi Town, was completed in 1995, providing a vital opportunity for industrial and commercial development in the surrounding area.
