About Takaishi City
Takaishi City is located in the Semboku region of Osaka Prefecture. It borders Sakai City to the north and east, and Izumiotsu City and Izumi City to the south. The city area is generally flat. It is easily accessible from central Osaka City in about 20 minutes from three stations: Takaishi, Hagoromo, and Tomiki. Kansai International Airport is also just over 20 kilometers away, making the city a well-developed and environmentally friendly destination. It is extremely convenient for both domestic and international travel. Tourist attractions include the Osaka Gas Gas Science Museum, Takaishi Shrine, and Hamadera Park, Japan's oldest park. The Takaishi Danjiri Festival is held every October, featuring 15 danjiri floats, the second-largest number after the old city of Kishiwada. The area around Takaishi Station on the Nankai Main Line offers many attractions.
