Suita City is the city where the 1970 World Exposition was held. Expo Commemoration Park, where you can learn about what it was like back then, features the Tower of the Sun, a monument from the Expo. The park also houses a Japanese garden, cultural facilities, and recreational areas. Many tourists visit the park to enjoy seasonal flowers such as cherry blossoms, azaleas, irises, and lotus flowers. Other attractions include the National Museum of Ethnology, Suita City Museum, and Kansai University Museum. Suita City is also a thriving new town, home to commercial facilities and the headquarters of major corporations. It is also famous as a producer of arrowheads, one of the Naniwa vegetables considered a traditional vegetable of Osaka Prefecture.
