Shijonawate City borders three cities in Osaka Prefecture and Ikoma City in Nara Prefecture. The region is blessed with abundant nature, with the Ikoma Mountains making up a large part of the area. It also boasts numerous tourist attractions, including the Imori Sakura at Shijonawate Shrine, the Takaraike Promenade, Gongen Falls, and the cherry blossoms at Imori Cemetery. The Green Cultural Garden is divided into several areas, including the Waterside Nature Garden, Forest Treasure Island, and Forest Crafts Museum, allowing visitors to enjoy nature throughout the seasons. Myohoji Temple on Mount Renge has a history of approximately 400 years since its founding. To preserve these abundant tourism resources in a more visible form, the Tourism Visualization Strategy Project has been launched, and various initiatives are being implemented. Local specialties include Imoriyama Manju and local sake.
