About Sennan City
Sennan City, part of which is home to Kansai International Airport, is located in the Sennan region of Osaka Prefecture. The city enjoys a Seto Inland Sea climate, with an average year-round temperature of around 15°C. The warm environment is also ideal for agriculture. Tourist attractions include the Kaikaiji Temple Ruins, a national historic site; the Yamada Family Residence, a nationally registered tangible cultural property; Marble Beach, selected as one of Japan's 100 best sunsets; and Rinku Minamihama Beach. Every October, an autumn festival is held in front of City Hall. The parade of floats adds to the excitement. There are 20 floats in total. Sennan City has a wide variety of floats, from small to large, made from cypress. The way they are pulled varies from area to area, allowing visitors to enjoy the different styles of pulling.
