About Tadaoka Town
Tadaoka Town, Senboku District, Osaka Prefecture, is located in the southwestern part of Osaka Prefecture, on a coastal plain facing Osaka Bay. With a total area of just 4.03 square kilometers, it is the smallest town in Japan. Tadaoka Town, Senboku District, values traditional culture and hosts the Autumn Danjiri Festival in October, where four floats parade through the town, attracting many spectators from both inside and outside the town. Additionally, on August 13th, a 500-meter road from the town center to the cemetery is lined with stalls selling grave goods. It's said that this event allows those who have married into foreign lands or been transferred far away to experience the nostalgic scent of home, and many people return to the town every year. Recently, the town created a mascot, "Tadaoka-kacho," who is beloved by local residents.
