Sakai City's Sakai Ward is home to the Sakai HAMON Museum, which displays videos and documents on Sakai knives, known as Sakai blades, and even sells blades. The Asakayama Azalea Festival, held every year from April to May, features a vibrant display of Sakai City's flowering azaleas in full bloom. In June, the Sanpo Processing Plant Hydrangea Exhibition is held. Sakai Ward is also home to the Daisenryo Tomb, one of the world's three largest tombs. At 654 meters long, the Daisenryo Tomb boasts the world's largest burial grounds. It attracts many tourists from not only Japan but around the world. There are also parks surrounded by abundant nature, such as Sanpo Park and Asakayama Park.
