Sakai City's Mihara Ward hosts many events, including the Mihara Citizens' Festival held every November, the Chamber of Commerce Summer Festival held at Tajii Sports Ground in August, and the Danjiri Festival in October, all of which attract many visitors. At the Sakai City Mihara History Museum, you can view many exhibits related to Kawachi metalworkers and the Kurohimeyama Kofun. Music and film events are also held here. The 114-meter-long Kurohimeyama Kofun is known for the numerous iron weapons excavated there. Agricultural crops are also grown in Sakai City's Mihara Ward, and there are farm stands selling tomatoes, potatoes, Chinese cabbage, and other produce. The area is also home to the Mihara Minoike Sports Ground and Mihara Furusato Park, both of which are rich in nature.
