Tsurumi Ward, located east of Osaka City, is known as the site of the 1990 International Garden and Greenery Exposition. Currently, the park is known as the Tsurumi Ryokuchi Flower Exposition Memorial Park, where a variety of beautiful, colorful flowers bloom in abundance. With sports facilities such as a pool, tennis courts, stadiums, and park golf, as well as campsites, barbecue facilities, and teahouses, the area is popular with people of all ages. It is also home to large commercial facilities such as Mitsui Outlet Park Osaka Tsurumi and AEON Mall Tsurumi Leafa. The Danjiri Festival is held every October, attracting many spectators to watch numerous floats parade through the city.
