Konohana Ward, Osaka City, was newly established in 1925. Located in the northwest of the city, it is home to the Yodo River and Shozenji River. The ward's name comes from the song "Nanatsu no Uta" by Wani. Tourist attractions include Universal Studios Japan, where you can experience the world of Hollywood movies, the Osaka City Sewerage Science Museum, which has various corners where you can learn about water and sewage systems, and Maishima Sports Island, which has sports facilities and a dog run. Universal Studios Japan attracts many tourists from outside the prefecture and overseas. The ward's mascot character is "Konoha-chan," who rides on a tulip flower.
