Higashinari Ward, Osaka City, is located in the central east of the city, and its ward mascots include Uri-chan, based on the Tamatsukuri Kuromonkoshi melon; Luka-chan, based on a crane and turtle; and Kazuzukin, wearing a sedge hat and holding a pansy. The ward's flowers are pansies and roses. The ward is also the second smallest area in the city. Transportation is convenient, with trains and buses, and plenty of supermarkets and other commercial facilities, making shopping convenient. Higashinari Ward, Osaka City, is also home to many companies, and its industry is developing. Some of these companies are major, and their presence has a particularly strong influence on the ward's industry and employment.
