Higashiosaka City, designated as a core city, is located in the Nakagawachi region of Osaka Prefecture. Most of the city area is made up of gentle lowlands. Neighboring municipalities include Osaka City, Daito City, and Yao City. A tourist attraction is the Shiba Ryotaro Memorial Museum.
