Kagamino Town in Tomata District borders two cities in Okayama Prefecture and one city and one town in Tottori Prefecture. Agriculture is thriving in the town, with tomatoes, eggplants, and tea grown. Local specialties include amago trout, princess peppers, and leaf wasabi. The area is blessed with abundant nature, including towering 1,000-meter-high mountains and numerous rivers. Genji fireflies have been spotted along the Yoshii River, and the area has been designated a prefectural natural monument as a breeding ground for the fireflies. The town also boasts numerous valleys with beautiful autumn foliage, attracting many tourists. Other popular tourist attractions include the Fairy Forest Glass Museum, the Tatara Exhibition Hall, the Tatara Ruins, and the Ono Reconnaissance Site.
