Takahashi City is located in the western part of Okayama Prefecture, with the Takahashi River flowing through the center of town. Regarding the climate, snow can be seen on the plateau, and the temperature difference can be felt. Although there is a lot of fog throughout the year on the plains, the temperature is relatively warm. Highland Mountain is a major tourist attraction. Its vast grounds are home to a huge playground, complete with tunnels, play equipment, and slides, making it a dream destination for small children. Admission is free, so the whole family can have fun. Another event is the Bitchu Takahashi Matsuyama Dance, which fills the town with over 100,000 people for three days starting on August 14th every year.
