Misaki Town, Kume District, was formed through a merger in 2005 and is one of the cities and towns in Okayama Prefecture. The entire town is surrounded by mountains and is rich in natural environments. There are many public facilities and shopping districts, centered around Kameko Station. The town's main industries include rice farming, orchards, and poultry farming, and it continues to support the economy in a wide range of fields. A native of this town popularized the currently popular dish of raw egg on rice nationwide, and it has now become one of the driving forces behind regional revitalization. Tourist attractions include Sankyu Park and Makiba no Yakata. Kameko Station, located in the center of town, is also popular, partly due to its turtle-shaped design. The town is characterized by a relaxed atmosphere surrounded by nature.
