Kashiwazaki City in Niigata Prefecture is surrounded by mountains and the sea, with a coastline of approximately 42 km, nestled among the mountains of Yoneyama, famous for its Sandanbushi (three-stage festival), as well as the Yashikiyama and Nishiyama mountain ranges. In 2005, it merged with Takayanagi Town and Nishiyama Town to form the new Kashiwazaki City. Recently, the city's local delicacy, "Tai Chazuke," won the grand prize at the National Local Donburi Championship, and it is gradually gaining national recognition. One of the highlights of this area is the annual Seaside Fireworks Festival, held every summer. As this area faces the sea, fireworks are also launched over the water, creating a beautiful contrast between the sparkling fireworks in the night sky and their reflection on the water, attracting many tourists every year.
