About Nosakagawa Village
Nosegawa Village in Yoshino District is located next to Wakayama Prefecture, and is surrounded by mountains to the north, making it a high-altitude region. This makes it an ideal summer resort, but in winter, the area becomes cold due to the heavy snowfall. Rhododendrons, white birch, and Japanese bush warblers are symbols of the area, and they continue to build on the village's history along with its traditions. The village is also deepening ties with the Slovak Republic, and the frequent travel between the two countries gives it an international side. One of its specialties is amago trout, which are raised in clean water. They are known as the queen of river fish. Another product is the rare handmade ice tofu.
