Koryo Town in Kitakatsuragi District is adjacent to Kashihara City and Kashiba City. It is the most populous town in Nara Prefecture. The town is divided into two parts: the eastern part is flat and mostly residential, while the western part is hilly. Many ancient tombs are scattered around the hills, and they are now important historical documents. The town's main industry is commerce, and a major shopping center is bustling. The town is well known as the town of socks, with 40% of its production coming from this area. The town also places emphasis on agriculture, producing strawberries and eggplants. Events held in the area include the Kasa Danjiri Festival, Todachi Festival, and Tateyama Festival.
