About Misato Town
Neighboring municipalities of Misato Town in Ikoma County include three towns in Nara Prefecture and two cities in Osaka Prefecture. Misato Town in Ikoma County is home to Tatsuta, a famous spot for viewing autumn leaves, and so the town's designated tree is the maple. The town's flower is also the sunflower. Like Misato Town, there is a city in Saitama Prefecture that also contains the character "Misato," and Misato City has partnered with Misato as a domestic sister city. Misato Village, which was formerly part of Nagano Prefecture, is now Azumino City, and Misato Town has also established a domestic sister city relationship with the former Misato Village. At Tatsuta Taisha Shrine in the town, festivals such as the Waterfall Festival and the Wind Chin Festival are held. Because Tatsuta Taisha Shrine is worshipped as the wind god, the Wind Chin Festival is also held.
