Located at the foot of the Yatsugatake Plateau, Hara Village in Suwa District is a popular area for immigrants, with an annual population increase of around 50 people. The appeal of this area as a relocation spot is that it has low rainfall throughout the year and low humidity, so it doesn't feel damp, allowing people to live in a clean environment. Although there is little snowfall in the winter, the temperature does drop, but this is only short-lived and not enough to cause discomfort. Furthermore, while most areas in Nagano Prefecture are surrounded by mountains, this area's lack of undulations and convenient location, only about five minutes from the city center, are also part of the appeal that attracts immigrants.
