Neba Village, Shimoina District, Nagano Prefecture, is located in the southwestern part of the prefecture, bordering Urugi Village, Hiraya Village, Aichi Prefecture, and Gifu Prefecture. The village is rich in nature, with mountains like Chausuyama, rivers like the Yahagi River, and Lake Chausuyama. Many residents go to Toyota City for their daily shopping, and while there were previously voices of residents calling for a merger with Toyota City, the two cities have not merged. Tourist attractions include the Tsukise no Osugi (large cedar tree) that is 1,500 to 1,800 years old and designated as a national natural monument; the Shinshu Neba Village Chausuyama Highland Frog Museum, where you can see various types of frogs; and Neverland, a complex with restaurants and accommodations. At the Frog Museum, you can even feed the toads.
