Kawakami Village in Minamisaku District, where agriculture thrives with the Chikuma River as its source, is surrounded by lush green land and values the natural environment. In the spring, you can harvest wild vegetables and experience nature firsthand throughout the year. Located in this idyllic environment, Kawakami Village in Minamisaku District is the Omiyama Ruins. Located at an altitude of 1,300 meters, the ruins are one of the highest in the country. You can see pottery and settlements from the Jomon period.
