Okusa Village, Kiso County, is located in the southern part of the Kiso Valley, bordering Iida City, Komagane City, Iijima Town, and Kamisue Town. The village is sandwiched between the Kiso Mountains and the Atera Mountains. It's rich in nature, boasting mountains like Utsugi-dake, Minami-Komagatake, and Koshihyaku-san, as well as the Inagawa, Atera, and Kiso Rivers. Tourist attractions include the important cultural properties of Jōshō-ji Temple and Hakusan Shrine, Myokaku-ji Temple, Nozokido Forest Park, and Atera Valley. The Okusa Alphorn Club, founded in 1999, is a popular musical venue. The club holds more than 20 concerts a year and also offers alphorn-making classes. Here, you can craft a one-of-a-kind alphorn. The village's tree is the cypress, and its flower is the rhododendron.
