Iijima Town, Kamiina District, Nagano Prefecture, is located in the south-central part of the prefecture, bordering Komagane City, Iida City, and one other town and two villages. The town's tree is the yew, and its flower is the rhododendron. Known for its views of both the Central and Southern Alps, the town boasts a river and abundant nature. Fruit farming, including pears, and rice cultivation are also thriving. Horse meat dishes are famous, and many visitors come for the sakura-don (cherry blossom rice bowl). In autumn, cosmos flowers bloom across the landscape, creating a spectacular view. Other notable attractions in the area include Yotagiri Park, which features a swimming pool and campground, and the Hananosato Iijima Roadside Station, which has a restaurant and a specialty goods store.
