Ikusaka Village, part of the Higashichikuma District of Nagano Prefecture, is located close to Nagano City and Matsumoto City. Surrounded by mountains and covered with rice paddies, the area enjoys a warm climate throughout the year with relatively little rainfall, making it a comfortable environment. Agriculture is the main industry in this region, resulting in many specialty products. Kyoho grapes and shiitake mushrooms are particularly popular, with production thriving. Juice made with Kyoho grapes is also popular. The prefectural natural monuments, the Nyubutsu Ginkgo and the Aka Jizo statue, are major tourist attractions, attracting many visitors from all over Japan. Many people also enjoy hiking in Kyogakura and Oshiro.
