Misato Town, Higashiusuki District, is a town rich in nature, located in the Kyushu Mountains. It borders Nobeoka City, Hyuga City, and Nishito City. Approximately 90% of the town is covered by forests, and the town is home to the Komaru River, Mimi River, and Isuzu River. Agriculture and forestry are thriving, with shiitake mushrooms, rice, beef cattle, and pears cultivated. Tourist attractions include Baekje Village, Ishitoge Lakeland, and Oseri Falls. The Roppo Kaido is a 57-km forest road where you can enjoy seasonal flowers and autumn leaves. It is also a popular driving course. The Unoma Jizoson Grand Festival is held in January, the All-Japan Rally Championship "Himuka Rally" is held from May to June, and the Onda Festival is held in July. The town's flower is the plum, and its bird is the Japanese white-eye.
