About Kadogawa Town
Kadogawa Town, Higashiusuki District, is located in northern Miyazaki Prefecture, bordering Nobeoka City, Hyuga City, and Misato Town. Nobeoka City and Hyuga City are also new industrial cities. As a result, it serves as a commuter town for these two new industrial cities. Facing the Hyuga Sea, the town is known for its fishing and seafood processing industries. It also has an industrial park, making manufacturing one of the town's industries. Formerly part of the Nobeoka Domain, the town changed its prefecture affiliation several times after the abolition of the feudal domains and the establishment of prefectures, from Nobeoka Prefecture to Mimitsu Prefecture and Miyazaki Prefecture. The town is home to natural monuments such as the Japanese Murrelet and the Japanese Wood Pigeon. It also boasts the scenic Otojima Island. It also boasts intangible folk cultural assets such as the Kozono Usu Taiko Dance and the Osue Danjiri Festival.
